Kelvin Mercer, David Jude Jolicoeur and Vincent Mason, or better known as De La Soul was growing up in school together. They attended classes in Long Island, NY in 1987 decided to form the band's hip-hop. Music producer Paul Huston heard the demo for the song "Plug Tunina", and promptly won the group.

Their first album, 3 Feet High and Rising was received with high praise. It was named album of the year by NME magazine. This is De La Soul highest selling album, and called a masterpiece of hip-hop. For more than twenty years they have participated and entertained the world with nine major albums released for her fans enjoyment.
Recently, De La Soul in partnership with Nike for the recording of the song will be available exclusively on iTunes. De La Soul sound is coming from an exclusive blend of genres such as funk, pop, soul, jazz, reggae, psychedelia in.
